A Multiplexed Bioaffinity Biosensing Patch for Point-of-Care Chronic Ulcer Monitoring

This paper reports a flexible multiplexed biosensing patch integrated with a bioinspired microfluidic wound exudate collector for dynamic assessment of the wound's inflammatory milieu and infection status at the point-of-care. The immunosensors platform was functionalized by integrating a MXene (Ti 3 C 2 T x )-based antifouling nanocomposite that resists biofouling while preserving electroconductivity. As a proof of concept, we successfully demonstrated three panels profiling including interleukin-6 (linear range 0-40 ng mL -1 ), temperature (sensitivity 0.08% ⁰C -1 in the physiological range of 25–50 ⁰C), and pH (sensitivity of -60 mV pH -1 in the wound relevant pH range of 3–9) in human serum.
