A Stretchable Strain-Insensitive Smart Glove for Simultaneous Detection of Pressure and Temperature

In this work, we newly developed a stretchable strain-insensitive smart glove, capable of simultaneously monitoring pressure and temperature. A low-cost CO 2 laser engraving and electrospinning technology were used for the first time to build a multifunctional smart glove with layer-by-layer geometry. The key elements of the e-glove fabrication are CNT-coted laser engrave graphene (CNT/LEG) and ionic nano-fibrous membrane (INM). The proposed smart glove can detect pressure through the variation of electric double-layer capacitance (EDLC) between the two CNT/LEG electrodes and INM, while the temperature is detected by the thermoresistivity of the CNT/LEG electrode. The pressure and temperature sensitivity were recorded as 0.506 kPa -1 (0-200 kPa) and 0.212%°C -1 (20-70°C), respectively.
